Christina Ann Surette, age 98, passes away May 16, 2016 at Alderwood Nursing Home, Baddeck.

She was the daughter of the late John Williams and Katherine Sutherland, Sydney.

She is survived by her daughters Sandra Canning, Montreal; Elizabeth (Anslem) MacLean, Sydney; son Kenneth Paul Canning; sister Hattie Moffatt, Maine; grandchildren Wendy Lamb, Toronto; Michael MacLean, Sackville; Michele MacLean, Sydney; Marsha MacLean, Alberta; Mark MacLean, Halifax; Chuck Lewis, Waterloo; Levon, Ontario; Christopher Canning, Halifax; Matthew Canning, Alberta; Chad MacDonald, New York; John, BC and by 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Christina was predeceased by husbands Earl Canning and Arthur Surette, infant son Donald, son Roy Canning, daughters Nancy Young and Jane Lewis, stepdaughter Loraine MacDonald, son-in-law Charles Lewis, brothers Dan Sutherland, Neil Sutherland and sisters Margaret Lewis and Mary McAskill.
