It is with great sadness that the family of Corinna Johnson, 43 of 19 Sugarmaple Lane, Eskasoni, announce her passing on December 30, 2012 in Eskasoni.

Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Andrew Ben Johnson of Eskasoni and the late Brenda Poulette.

She was a member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni and for a number of years she worked as an adult care worker. Corinna was known for her good cooking, playing bingo and loving her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Dean Paul, daughter Francella Johnson (Dale Dennis); 4 grandchildren Antlé, Charity, Teara, Denise, 2 brothers Tommy and Sonny (Cheryl); 6 sisters Margaret (George), Janet, Audrey Anne (Howie), Charlene, Melinda Herney, all of Eskasoni and Marcia (Arthur), Chapel Island. Also survived by several god-children Rainbow, George, Bladen, Susie Jane, Lucia and Charlie Joe, and by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and by her step-mother Louise Herney Johnson.

Visitation for Corinna Johnson will take place on Thursday (today) after 7 pm at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
