Darlene Kelley Sylliboy, 38 of Eskasoni, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at home.

Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Mabel Morris of Eskasoni and the late Fred Sylliboy Sr.

She was a member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni. Darlene was a very creative and passionate person who loved to express herself through many ways, including art, poetry, painting and especially through her words in writing. She also got much enjoyment through listening to music.

She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Blade Erixon; Eddie Norris; Ivan Spencer Jr., all at home; a brother Frederick (Leta), Eskasoni; a sister Cynthia Lynn (Paul) Lewis, Eskasoni; also by Kathleen, nephews J.C.(godchild); Vee ; nieces Promise Joy ; Sidney Jane; Jaylene (godchild); Justine; step-nephew Joef; step-niece Bern and by godmother Annie Marie Denny of Eskasoni.

She was predeceased by a nephew Kris Andrew.

Visitation for Darlene Sylliboy will take place at the Gabriel Centre, Eskasoni after 7 p.m., Thursday, November 3. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
