It is with sadness of heart that we announce that David F. Mombourquette passed away in Harbourstone Enhanced Care on April 24, 2024. Born to the late Frank and Alice (Miller) Mombourquette on September 21, 1936. David was a hard worker all of his life. He spent time doing grant work with the City of Sydney and on the docks around Sydney helping to load and unload cargo. He was also well known around the mall where he enjoyed people watching and conversing with customers and staff at the food court, especially the Tim Horton staff.
David is survived by his sister Dolores Hiles of Chilliwack, BC, a number of nieces and nephews and many friends.
David was predeceased by his sister Helen (Melvin) MacDougall.
A time of gathering will take place at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., on Wednesday, May 22 from 10:00 until 11:00am when a funeral service will begin presided by Fr. Conrad Edwards.
