

Dorothy Mae (Leonard) Mills has been reunited with her soul mate and best friend, Malcolm. Dorothy passed away suddenly on February 4, 2012 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born June 19, 1939 in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (Morrison) Leonard.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, loving mother, wonderful grandma, and best friend to all. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, an avid Tarabish player, and lent her beautiful voice to church choirs.
She will be missed by daughters Linda "Lindsey" (Karin) Mills, Font Hill, Karen (Allister) Bertram, Kitchener, John (Lynn) Mills, Windsor, Wayne (Sue) Mills, Sydney; brothers, Bob (Marg), Fredericton, Elwin ‘Pat’, Windsor, Ken (Audrey), BC; aunt Norma Campbell, Bras d'Or; grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole, Heather, Alexis, Collin, Heather, Sean, Blayne, Sydney, her four legged grandson, Kelso, and many, many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm; son, Blaine and sister in law, Linda Leonard.
Visitation for Dorothy will be held 2 -5 p.m. with words of remembrance given at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 both at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A reception will follow at the Bethal Presbyterian Church Hall, Sydney. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
