So sad to read of your sister's passing. My sister Jane enjoyed her friendship with Louise when they roomed together while attending NS Teachers College. Jane and Roger are in Scotland on vacation and will be shocked to learn of your loss when she returns home.

I am very saddened to hear of Louise's passing and would like to send my deepest condolences to the MacKinnon family.I first met Louise at Hammonds Plains Elementary and then worked with her for several years at Eaglewood  Elementary in Bedford.Louise soon became My personal Rock,My Friend and Co-Worker etc;her wonderful sense of humor brought sunshine to each and every one of us that had the pleasure of knowing her.One of our Special Needs students couldn't pronounce her whole name and she took on the title of simply Kinnon;it will be with great saddness and always with a smile that many of us will remember our beautiful Ms.Kinnon!!

Lousie was my mentor teacher 12 years ago when I was taking my Education degree. She had such a beautiful spirit, full of laughter, and was dedicated to her students and profession. She was truly an amazing person and has impacted so many lives, including my own. I send my deepest condolences and prayers.

To the McKinnon family: I  was very saddened to hear of Louise's passing. But - it did bring back wonderful memories of our high school together when Jody, Louise and I all hung out together in the North end. I was lucky to have re-connected with Louise several years ago at the hospital in Sydney  where her mother and my father were both patients. I had the priviledge of getting to know Louise when she came to Sunnyside School in Bedford as vice-principal. When I think of Louise, I picture her peeking her head into my classroom and laughing about something that had just happened. She could find humour in any situation. At the same time, she was always very supportive and compassionate if there was a need. I know that if she was that way with her friends, peers and students, then she was all that and more to the family she so obviously cherished. Know that she left a piece of herself with all those whose lives she touched.

Sadly, I read of Louise's passing in the newspaper. We both arrived at Hammonds Plains School about the same time and over the many years of teaching there I had the pleasure of getting to know Louise. I am deeply saddened to hear about Louise.  Louise was my cooperating teacher while I completed my final year of my teaching degree.  She was my rock in providing advice to laugh and not overstress on things.  I remember she dropped everything to be with her brother to take care of him and believed in me to carry on with the regular routine of her grade 2 class :)...what an honoured feeling to have. I will always remember her and her drive to make a difference as she has played an important part of my journey as an administrator today!  I pray for comfort and peace with the MacKinnon family as you go through this difficult time.  Blessings.

Louise will always be remembered.  I worked with Louise at Sunnyside Elementary for a number of years.  Not only did she love her job but she always understood and valued family life as well.  She had a love for her staff and students that showed she through her humour and kind heart.  Simply one of the best! My deepest sympathy to you her family at this time.

Louise was a wonderful administrator at Sunnyside Elementary.  She brought so much laughter and joy to our work.  My deepest sympathy to her family.

I can still hear her laughter in the hallways of Sunnyside School. I was fortunate to work there with Louise as our vice-principal. She will be sadly missed. My sincerest condolences go out to her wonderful family. It was obvious how special you were to her and how fond she was of all of you. Louise was a wonderful vice-principal.  She had a sense of humor that kept us going in the hard times, and made life more fun in the good times.  I will always remember her practical good sense and her contagious laugh.

I was sorry to learn of Louise's passing. My sympathy goes out to her brother Joe and her family.
I met her when visiting her brother at University. She was a kind and very special person. After University I met her a few times in Sydney, when she was with her mother and I was with my mother. She laughed on one occasion, when she barely could remember my real name, because she had used a nickname for me for so long.
