Edmund O'Grady Ormond

Edmund is predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Sharon Ormond, his parents (Patrick and Suzanne); his siblings (Mary "Mamie", Margie, Dougall and Philip). He is survived by his children: Kelly (Rick), Douglas (Donna), Jamie (Angela) and Edmund Jr (Mylene); special nephew Mike Johnston (Kathy); his grandchildren Geoff (Libby), Janelle (Brandon), Amanda (Chris), Ryan, Emily, Brianna, Olivia, Logan, Danielle, Sara Anne, Andraya Blair and Eva Belin and his great grandchildren Hailey, Grayson, Hannah, Peyton, Niko, Joseph and Violet.

Edmund had a career spanning 32 years with Co-op Fuels. After retirement, he found fulfillment in his services to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Mira Road. He spent many days "up home" gardening and walking the old homestead. He was meticulous and had a thunderous laugh, if you were fortunate enough to hear it. Edmund was a true family man and a steady presence in our lives. He will be missed fiercely by all who love him.

Visitation will take place between 7 & 9pm on Monday, January 12 at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., Sydney. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, January 13 at St. Theresa Church, 381 Whitney Ave, with Fr. Evo DiPierro officiating. Internment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
