Elaine Doyle Campbell

Elaine Campbell, 55, of 54 Davenport Road, formerly of French Road, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, after a brief battle with cancer at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Laura ( Nichols ) Doyle.

Elaine dedicated her life to caring for the elderly and assisting children with intellectual disabilities. Elaine loved to garden ; loved her dog, Buds and her cat, Suds and especially enjoyed spending time in the company of her family and friends.

She is survived by her special companion, Roger Shaw ; her three daughters, Georgina, Sydney, Michelle ( Roy ) Dober, Calgary, Billie Jo Doran, Sydney ; one son, Clint ( Cathy ), Marion Bridge ; five sisters, Mrs. Vera Lightsey, Florida, Mrs. Effie MacPhee, Sydney, Molly ( Bob ) Turpin, Ontario, Minetta ( Grant ) Gratton, Ontario, Wanda Wiseback, Antigonish ; by two brothers, Michael ( Betty ) Doyle, Campbelldale Road, George

( Sandra ) Doyle, French Road ; and 11 grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey, Zane, Zackery, Billy, Blake,Tyrel, Epiphany, Brittany, Bailey Jo and Mickel.

Elaine was predeceased by her husband,William in 2002 and two brothers, Basil and Gerald.

Visitation for the late Elaine Campbell took place at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel, Sydney and a funeral mass was held on Wednesday, Nov. 02, 2005, 11:00 am at St. Margaret's Church, Grand Mira, with Rev. Bedford Doucette officiating.
