It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Theresa Ball at Taigh Na Mara Nursing home in Glace Bay on November 16th 2021.

Born in Whitney Pier April 24th, 1931, Evelyn was the daughter of Luke and Elizabeth (Kehoe) Gallivan and the last member of her immediate family. Evelyn attended Holy Redeemer and Holy Angels Convents and then joined the staff of The Royal Bank of Canada where she was an employee for 36 years. She is survived by her grandchildren Angela Briand (Paul) and David Gaudet (Shawna) and their children Noah and Cohen as well as wonderful nieces and nephews who were always there for her if she needed help in any way.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her only child Linda Gaudet and husbands Lloyd Ball and Malcolm Holt, her sister SR Elizabeth C.N.D, MSGR. William J. Gallivan, Mary Vasily, James (Bud), Ignatius, Wilfred, Gregory, Danny, Paddy and their spouses. Nephews James Jr.(Buddy), Gregory Jr and Gerald Gallivan.

Evelyn wished to express a very special thank you to her niece Janice Black, her husband Brian and their sweet daughter Tara who visited every weekend with all kinds of goodies to try to encourage her to eat. She would also like to express her appreciation and gratitude towards her special neighbours and friends Michelle Doucet and Judy MacIntyre for all of their help with picking up groceries, helping with chores and their home cooked meals. Special thanks to Archie and Peggy Pushie as well for their many years of kindness and for all of those who have prayed for her.

Evelyn will missed by her dear friends Delores (Doyle) Murray, Eunice Michalsky, and Louise Warren. We would like to thank Family Doctor Dr Gregory Myatt for his wonderful care and compassion for Evelyn. Also Laura, a perfect medical office assistant, and RN Janice his nurse. Words can not express the appreciation we have for you all. Also, we would like to express our gratitude for Taigh Na Mara Nursing home staff who ensured that Evelyn was comfortable and content in her final days.

Evelyn will be cremated and a funeral mass will be held at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish on Tuesday, November 23rd, at 11am, interment at Resurrection Cemetery to follow. To Evelyn's Family and Friends
I had the pleasure of working with Evelyn at the Royal Bank in Sydney. What a lovely lady. She was a stalwart member of the staff and we all shared many laughs back in those days. I still remember the day she retired - we were sorry to see her leave.
Fill your hearts with treasured memories.
