Gloria onion’s (sisters) were her lifeline, rock, and constant source of love and laughter. To say Gloria was one of a kind is an understatement, her love was unconditional and absolute. If you had Gloria in your corner you were winning. She would always open her home and heart to whoever needed it. She was an honorary ‘Meme’ and ‘mom’ to so many. We are so very lucky and gifted for having her in ALL OF OUR LIVES. Gloria has left the world a better place than she found it. She was known for her big heart and generous nature.
Gloria loved her First Nation culture and traditions. You would always find her at any gathering and events that involved the language and traditions. She was a also a member of St. Anne’s Mission Church. She brought this with her to many careers. Gloria was a trail blazer who brought a place of prominence back to our elders of Membertou with the formation of Membertou Club 55. This was one of her favorite things, besides being a ‘Mom’ and ‘Meme’ to so many. Our Elders and seniors are living their best lives because of the work and dedication and LOVE for her FRIENDS. She was and is Membertou’s first and only ‘Brown Owl’ for Brownies. She loved them girls so much. She was also an avid AA member and attended many round ups throughout the communities. For Gloria, family, and friends are EVERYTHING and she loved them all unconditionally.
