Said to hear about Ian’s passing. It was through them that gave me work when I was there to make ends meet and I was glad to help him and Donna around the house. He and Donna were very kind souls that are greatly missed. Many a laughs we shared and it was with them who convinced me to make the move out west when the opportunity came my way. My deepest condolences to Robin and Shawna and the rest of the family. You are all forever in my thoughts and prayers.

Shauna and Robin, My deepest sympathy on the passing of your Dad. Ian and my parents were friends around the time he and I were born (me in February of 1941 and he the following June). Ian and I became friends at then RRHS in the (very) early 1950s as classmates and army cadets and the friendship increased years later through AVTC and Community College days. Your Dad was by far one of the finest individuals I ever had the honour to know..a true gentleman in every sense of the word whose hallmark was integrity in every aspect of his life and career. He will be missed.

Your father was such a kind and thoughtful gentleman who visited my store regularly. Every year at Christmas he would come in to seek my advise on stocking stuffers for his sweet daughters. He spoke so highly of his family and his weekly shoppers visits will be missed..sending my sincere condolences to his family and friends ..may he now rest in peace

With love and sympathy from Debbie Buckles ( cosmetic manager at SDM Sydney River)

I worked at the Bean Bank a few years ago and Ian was a regular customer (and my favourite). He always came in and said, “Well hello there!” in his gentle, kind voice. It always made my day. I’m sure he will be dearly missed.

So sad to hear of Ian's passing. I worked with Ian for many years and was one of his students. He was a kind, gentle soul who was very caring for other people. He loved his students and wanted so much for them to succeed. He was very proud of his wife and daughters and spoke of them often. He will be missed!! He was a wonderful man.
