OBITUARY

Jennifer Marie Doyle

August 28, 1980September 6, 2020

With profound sorrow, while marvelling at her grit & tenacity, the family announces the death of Jennifer Marie Doyle. She was a graduate of Holy Angels, IECEDS in Truro, & CBBC. In her spare time, she was a proud volunteer with St. John Ambulance, & Search and Rescue. She was a passionate singer, who enjoyed singing many Cape Breton songs, especially Working Man, & musical theatre hits. She was an avid Broadway fan having seen The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, & most recently, Hamilton, in Toronto. She spent many happy hours immersed in the movie and book worlds of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Jennifer loved all animals. Her dog Lady & cat McGonagall were devotedly at her side throughout her illness. She was happiest while riding horses at Dream Stables & Bar-ditch Stables or enjoying the beach at Pipers Cove with all her extended family throughout the summers and especially the annual Doyle Family Picnic. Throughout this difficult summer, she focused on celebrating her 40th birthday, & was overjoyed to spend a very special evening with so many of her family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Paul & Debbie, brother Jason, and his wife Erin (Columbus), niece Briony, nephew Donovan, grandmother Nora Doyle, & grandfather Nick MacDonald as well as a very large, extended family. She was predeceased by grandmother Florence MacDonald, grandfather Eddie Doyle, uncles Jackie Doyle, Bernie Doyle, and Russell Gallant, aunt Janet Doyle, & cousin Nathan Doyle. Dear Debbie and family,
I want to send my deepest condolences to you all! I first met Jennifer when we both participated in the Relay for Life as team members of ‘Riley’s Rebels’, quite a few years ago. After chatting awhile, I realized who she was and told her that we were cousins on her mom’s side. She gave me a big hug and we had some great conversations. I am so sorry you are going through the heartache of her loss, but I pray that all the fond memories will give you peace . ❤️🙏🏼

So sorry to hear of Jennifer's passing. I remember her very well as a lovely teenager many years back when we sang together. I was taken with her deep passion for singing and music and her beautiful smile. She so loved Phantom of the Opera and knew every song. We sang it together often back then for fun. My deepest condolences to the family.
