It is with sadness that I heard of Johnny's death. He had such a loving quiet spirit in the last years of his life. He represented all that I remember about my Grand-aunt Mary Ann, his mother and how I loved her dearly and cherish the memories I have of this family. I will miss seeing him in Benacadie - who will trim his trees?
Good-bye Johnny and I hope to see you in heaven one day. Hughena Ives (Rita Dan-X's daughter.

When I heard the news that Johnnie had passed, I almost immediately went back in time to all the laughs we shared over the years. Each summer in Benacadie Pond, I would inevitably run into Johnnie. Last summer, Lexie Rosemary and I stopped at his mailbox and as usual shared shared 10 minutes of wit and wisdom.
We drove away laughing! RIP Johnnie

Our deepest condolences on Johnnie's passing. He was such a good neighbor to us and often helped us out with little jobs and sometimes big jobs around the house. He was always good for a laugh and Jimmy called him my go to guy. He always had the right screw or nut or whatever in his garage. We will miss him.

Sonny and I will miss Johnny - he was a good friend. We will miss his sharp wit and history lessons about the Benacadie area. He left us too soon. RIP Johnny.
