Lucy (Aucoin) Pino, born July 17, 1915, Grand Etang, N.S., passed away peacefully in High Crest Nursing Home, Sherbrooke, N.S., Friday, March 25, 2011.
Lucy was a daughter of the late Simon and Nancy (Cormier) Aucoin.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer parish. She worked at St. Anthony’s Home and the MacGillivray Guest Home.
Lucy Anne is survived by her daughter, Josephine Chayer (Noel Danis), Ottawa; granddaughters, Debora (Derrick Coolen), Jacqueline (Douglas Wilson); four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Tony; sisters, Margaret (Michael), Rosina (Peter), Germaine, Virginia (George), Cecilia, Carmen; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Americo, sisters, Helen, Mary, Cecile, Sister Josephine, brothers, Joseph and Marcellin, sisters-in-law, Frances, Rita, Alma, Adeline and Matilda.
Visitation for the late Mrs. Pino will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, with funeral mass 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, both in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Fr. Raj officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
Donations in memory may be made to the Palliative Care Units at either the High Crest Nursing Home in Sherbrooke or the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
