It is with great sadness that we the family of Malcom Alexander MacLean announce his passing on October 30th 2020. Born July 20th, 1955, Malcolm was the son of Neil and Ena MacLean (deceased) of Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia.
Malcom is survived by his wife Marlene (MacNeil), children Brett (Biljana), Jullian and Jessica, sisters Tootsie (Sonny) Smith, Caroline Boomgaars MacLean, nieces Arlene Ragan (Darren), Cindy MacDonald (Larry) and nephews Craig Smith and Curtis Boomgaars (Cindy). Malcolm was pre-deceased by special cousin Jackie (Audrey) Stewart, nephew Jeff Boomgaars and niece Kelly Marie Boomgaars.
Malcolm spent his early career with Aliant from 1975-2007 and with Seaside from 2008-2014. Malcolm thoroughly enjoyed the comradery with his co-workers and time spent working at both companies.
What can you say about Malcolm: a kind, generous person, a character, that was always prepared. A man to never to turn down a game of cards, and we hope you find that elusive 29. Our family would like to extend many thanks to the E.R., I.C.U, Diagnostic and Support Staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to L’Arche Cape Breton or a charity of your choice. Visitation will be held from 3-6pm on Thursday, November 5 at TW Curry Parkview Chapel. A family gravesite burial will be held at a later date. Memories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.twcurry.com.
