Michael Andrew Paul

Paul, Michael A., 86 of Eskasoni. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dad, grandad and great grandad at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on February 15, 2022. He was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Ann (Francis) Paul.

Mike was a member of the Holy Family Parish. He was a Residential School survivor. Mike was a jack-of-all-trades, from mechanic, carpenter, to basket and wreath making. He loved to do yardwork, puzzle books and watch WWE and hockey with his cup of tea and donut.

He was the husband of the late Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Poulette) Paul. Survived by his daughters, Marlene (Albert), Patsy, Elaine, Norma, Mary and Paulina, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Siblings; Joe Mike (Grace) Paul, Malian Martin, Douglas Paul, Andrew ‘Jr’ Paul, and Mary ‘Maleege’ Poulette all of Wekoqmaq. One and only godson Steve Francis and special son Alex Jij Francis.

Besides his parents and wife, he is predeceased by his baby girl Noreen, grandchildren; Kayla, Tyrell and Michael, siblings; Mary L Simon, Mary A Marshall, Dorothy Marshall, Mary R Cabot, Mary E Paul, Annie C Googoo, James Paul, Michael J Paul, Colin Paul and Peter M Paul.

A visitation will take place at 5218 Mountain Rd. Eskasoni, beginning after 7 pm on Tuesday February 22, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday February 24, 2022 with Fr. Antolin Asor officiating at Holy Family church. Proof of vaccination and ID required to attend services.
