It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Michelle Taylor, announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, January 3rd, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Michelle was a graduate of Holy Angels High School, St. Rita Hospital School of Nursing, and St FX. She spent her career tending to the needs of others, in her profession as a Registered Nurse in Nova Scotia, and BC. Michelle is survived by her brothers; Sander (Bernadette), Brian (Sandra) and Michael (Wanda), her sisters; Patricia (Greg) and Janice (Rob); her housemate, and best friend Arlene Edwards, and their fur babies Shiloh, and Rory; thirteen nieces and nephews, who loved her like another Mother (despite her reputation as the “Sergeant Major”); and one grand-niece. Michelle was pre-deceased by her parents, Charlie and Florence Taylor. Michelle will also be missed by her co-workers, her friends in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Choir, and her Mahjong Crew. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Patient Care Fund, Palliative Care, Hospice, or a charity of your choice. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, in Sydney River.
