God granted us an angel by the name of Misty Rain, beloved daughter of Dawn Elizabeth Marshall and Manuel Earl Googoo. Although our time with her was short, our hearts will forever be filled with joy and honor because we were all able to be graced with her beautiful presence.
Our precious baby girl passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 27, 2023.
Misty loved watching her favorite tv shows on Treehouse which were Bubble Guppies, Peppa Pig and Blue's Clues. She also liked watching The Simpsons, Unsolved Mysteries, Futurama and loved watching Monday Night Raw with her Daddy and uncle James. Her all-time favorite movie was the live action Aladdin and had to watch it at least once a month. She loved cuddling and watching TikTok videos with her mommy. She loved going for drives in the car to visit family & friends and listening to Pop2k on satellite radio. When we were at home, she loved being sat up in her chair and being rolled around the house. Misty loved getting cuddles, kisses and hugs from her mommy, daddy and many family members. Misty Rain was smiley all the time that she would light up a room with her presence and touched the hearts of everyone she ever met.
Besides her caring and thoughtful parents, Misty is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Kelly Marshall (Jonathan); grandfather, Andy Pierro (Mary); paternal grandparents, Angela Marie & Kenneth John Googoo; her aunts & uncles, Blaise, Mercedes, Autumn, Mya, Shakira, James, Emmy, Jesse, Shania, Sondra and Andy ji’j; and all her cousins, Jazzalene, Martensia, Ellie, Kensleigh & Leo.
She is also survived by her maternal great-grandmothers, Nancy Isadore and Eunice Peck; maternal great-grandfather, Bernie Peck; great, great-grandmother, Martha Isadore; her chosen godparents, Kendall Googoo, Jamie Young, Sammy Jo Googoo, and Earl Gould, and so many great/great-great aunts, uncles and cousins and family friends.
She is welcomed into Heaven by her maternal grandfather, Dwayne Peck; maternal great, great-grandfather, Stephen Isadore; paternal great-grandparents, Michael & Emily Googoo and Richard & Emily Phillips; great aunts & uncles, Renee Anne Peck, Allister “Babe” Paul, Richard Joe Phillips, Ekklit Simon, Earl Googoo, Sonny Googoo and Frank Googoo; by Dawn’s Godparents, Jamie Peck & Vallie Jo, and her beloved Pug Daisy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 4th, 2023, at the Wagmatcook Elder’s Center, 55 Fishery Road, Wagmatcook First Nation after 6pm for the public. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, at 11am, at the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, Wagmatcook First Nation, with Father Angus MacDougall officiating.
