Patricia Mae Johnston

It is with profound sadness that we, the children of Patricia Mae (Pat) Johnston, age 83 announce her passing on December 26, 2023, at Taigh Solas, Northside General Hospital. She was born in Sydney, June 19, 1940, the youngest child of Amos and Ella LeClair, but resided in Sydney Forks all her married life.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish East Bay and more, recently Lady of Fatima in Sydney River. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to all who needed her.

She is survived by her sons, Bernie (Michelle) Johnston, John and Michael (Shelly) and her daughters Marie (Mike) Worthington, Michelle (Kevin) MacKinnon. She is also survived by 17 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, sister-in-law Evelyn Hardy as well as her special friend Mary (Girlie) MacKinnon.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband John “Jake” Johnston, a brother Arthur (Marguerite) LeClair, sisters; Marguerite (Malcolm) MacKinnon and Anna (Donald) MacInnis and grandson Joseph Patrick Johnston.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of 4A, Taigh Solas, and to Dr. MacKillop for his wonderful care over the years.

Visitation for the late Patricia (Pat) Johnston will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 30 ,2023, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 am at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St, Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Donations in Pat’s memory can be made to Cape Breton Heart and Lung Association or The Alzheimer Society.
