Roger Anthony Lafford

Born on June 19, 1958 to the late Ben and Helen (Marshall) Lafford.

Roger loved the outdoors, camping and enjoying nature. Two of his favorite things were a good fire and cold beer. A cabinet maker and handyman, there were many around who benefitted from his hard work and skilled hands. Roger was a man of strong character who was a residential school survivor.

He will be missed by his son Gemini, Grandchildren Aries and Gemini jr., great granddaughter Aurora, siblings Doris (Keith) Dawson, Andrew (Nora), John and Harry Lafford as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his sister June Lewis, brothers Levi, Lloyd and Benjamin Lafford and god parents Frank S. and Mary Rose Cabot and his son's mother Mary Josephine "Lovey" Prosper.

Visitation will take place at the Gabriel Centre, Eskasoni starting at 7pm on Sunday, May 10 and continuing until the service on Tuesday, May 12 at 10:00am at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family by visiting twcurry.com.
