It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Mary (McQueen) Hillier early Christmas morning at the QEII Hospital in Halifax.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Kathleen (Richardson) McQueen.
Rose will be remembered by her children and many others as being the sweetest, nicest person anyone could ever meet. She loved being on the go and keeping herself busy and was constantly improving her surroundings.
Rose is survived by her sons, Jeff (Stephanie), Goose Bay, Greg (Misty), Halifax and Brad, Sydney; sisters, Kathleen, Margie and Donna; brothers, Joey, Wilfred and Billy; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Charles.
Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, December 30 at Holy Redeemer Church, Rev. Paul Murphy will officiate. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
