It is with broken hearts that we, the family of Sebastian Francis Pierro of Wagmatcook First Nation, announce his sudden passing on Saturday, January 29, 2022. He was born on February 7, 1993 to the late Valerie Andrea Pierro and Conrad Paul Senior.
Sebastian is survived by his maternal grandmother Mary Catherine Pierro (Molly), his maternal brother Zachary Pierro, his son Emery Isadore, his father Conrad Paul Senior, his paternal siblings Gordon, Candace and Conrad Junior. Sebastian will also be missed by his chosen father Gordon Lewis, his aunts Louise Witzell (Gerard), Aimee Pierro (John) and uncles; Craig, Troy, Benedict Junior, Jason, and Geoffrey of Montreal, as well as brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Also left to mourn are his godparents; Peter Isadore and Mary Margaret Isadore, Sandra Peck and Benedict Pierro Jr. Sebastian was predeceased by his late grandfather Benedict Pierro.
Sebastian was well known in the community for his beautiful smile and his zest for life. Sebastian lost his mom when he was 9 years old and he was raised by his grandparents, Molly and the late Benedict. He grew up in Wagmatcook and spent time in Membertou visiting his dad. He can make anyone laugh with his silly stores and adventurous nature. Sebastian's positive attitude and likable personality made him popular in the community. He made friends with people of all ages.
Sebastian will be remembered as a care-free, vibrant, charming and happy guy. He was never without a big smile. He was incredibly loyal and full of life. He was kind-hearted and generous, especially when it came to his big brother Zachary. He was witty and silly. Sebastian loved meeting new people and the places he worked seemed to make his circle bigger than ever. He spent time at Talbot House, and became a good friend of Father Paul Abbass. Most recently, he was employed doing odd jobs and spending time making plans for the weekends. Sebastian's favourite pass time was shooting hoops with his brother Zachary and playing his games.
Visitation will take place at the Elders Center in Wagmatcook, starting at 5pm on Tuesday, February 8th and continuing until Thursday, February 10th. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 10th at the Queen of the World Church at 11am, with interment in the parish cemetery. Covid-19 regulations will be followed at both the wake and the service. As such numbers for either event are limited to no more than 50 people.
