Stephen graduated from Sydney Academy and then went on to complete his heavy equipment operator courses and worked out west at various times. He loved riding his big machines. He also enjoyed four wheeling and dirt bikes in his spare time while home in Cape Breton. Stephen has many good friends who enjoyed his humorous personality. He loved cooking and would come up with new and delicious recipes. He jokingly called himself "master chef". His contagious personality will be deeply missed.
Stephen was predeceased by his grandparents Cyril and Margaret McGrath and Neil and Evelyn MacIntyre. He is survived by his parents, Douglas and Colleen, as well as his girlfriend Emma Buick and their dog Homer.
