A. J. (Syrup Sopper) HoneycuttWeogufka, AL - Funeral service for A. J. (Syrup Sopper) Honeycutt, 76, will be Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev, Eddie Forbus and Rev. Tommy Thornton officiating.  Burial will be in Weogufka Second Baptist Cemetery in Weogufka, AL.Mr. Honeycutt died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Birmingham.  He was preceded in death by parents, Monroe and Bessie Honeycutt, son Marty Honeycutt, daughter, Caroline Marie Thomas and grandson, Joseph Denton.  He retired as a professional truck driver from West Point/Stevens of Valley, AL.  He was a maintenance employee for the Stewartville Water Authority.  He was honorably discharged from the US Army.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He loved every one of his friends and never met a stranger.  He will be missed dearly.He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sherra Honeycutt of Weogufka;, son, Arthur Jarrell Honeycutt, wife Sandra of Lincoln, AL; daughter, Deborah Jane Rixner, husband Bill of Pinson, AL; brother, James Honeycutt, wife Sarah of Sylacauga;  sisters, Paralee Honeycutt Thomas, of Sylacauga and Loula Mae Robinson, husband Harmon of Columbiana, AL; grandchildren, Cassandra Lynn Honeycutt, Winter Marie Williams, Ben Marcrum, wife Kristen, Daniel Wesley Williams, wife Karen, Steven James Honeycutt, Matthew Fred Honeycutt, wife Kristina, Rachel Rixner; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Marie Williams, Jasmine Lynn Honeycutt, Stephen Layne Williams, Drake Lee Catchings, Evan Marcrum, Libbee Nikole Honeycutt and Logan Ray Honeycutt. Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.Pallbearers will be Ben Marcrum, Matt Honeycutt, Steven Honeycutt, Daniel Williams, Ricky Martin and Wayne Honeycutt.  Honorary pallbearers will be Horace Calloway, H.T.
