Sylacauga, AL. - Alvin L. Brooks, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
Alvin is survived by his children, Mark and Melinda Brooks; grandchild, Stephanie Tinney (Joe); grandchild, Wesley Brooks (Ashlyn); great-grandchild, Wyatt Tinney; and three sisters, Ruby Morris, Sadie Dobbs and Connie Cooper.
Alvin was preceded in death by his son, Scott Brooks; parents, Luther and Epsie Brooks; sister, Jeanette Isbell; and brother, James Brooks.
Alvin was a good man. He enjoyed beekeeping, gardening and hunting arrowheads. He worked as a meat cutter for A&P, Consumer Foods, Food Max, Food World, and Piggly Wiggly.
He spent his last 3 1/2 months at his son's farm in Ashland, Alabama surrounded by his family and especially enjoyed time with his great grandson, Wyatt.
A graveside service for Alvin will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Mt. Baptist Church Cemetery, Rocky Mountain Church Rd, Talladega, AL 35160.
