Barry Pennington

Barry Clark Pennington, age 49, of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Barry was born December 13, 1972 to Marie Houston and George Pennington.

Barry was a graduate of Childersburg High School class of 1991 and attended Central Alabama Community College. He was an avid sportsman and baseball coach. Most of all, he was a loving father, husband, brother, and friend.

Barry is survived by his wife, Laralee Pennington; his son Lane Pennington; his father George Pennington (Sheila); his sisters Kim Howard, Shannisty Alarcon (Cole), and Savannah Wilson (Will), his brothers Jake Pennington (Jonika) and Austin Pennington (Brittany).

Barry was preceded in death by his mother Marie Houston; his grandparents Mary Houston, Elijah Houston, L.D. Pennington, and Mandy Pennington, and his niece Clara R. Pennington.

Barry also leaves numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

A visitation for Barry will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. David Houston officiating.

Barry will be laid to rest in Risers Chapel Cemetery, 2806 Church Rd, Alpine, AL 35014.

Serving as pallbearers are Wade Houston, Paul David Houston, Lamar Houston, Tim Hurt, Jake Pennington and Austin Pennington.
