Funeral service for Betty Ruth Patton, age 81, will be Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Reverend Rick Deerman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. She was one of the Jones girls from Coopers. She lived in Sylacauga for most of her days. She worked at Helen’s dress shop in Sylacauga until its closing and worked as a bridal consultant at Griffins Jewelers until she retired. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Was a member of Mignon Baptist Church and the Coosa County Cattlewomens (Cowbelles). She enjoyed cooking for her family and being a grandmother. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at CVMC in Sylacauga and Shelby Baptist in Alabaster. She is survived by her Son: Mike Patton and wife Anita of Sylacauga; Daughter: Jennie Nicholson and husband Leroy of Sylacauga; 4 Grandchildren: Sammie Fowler and husband Chase, Seth Nicholson and wife Amber, Grant Patton, Will Nicholson and 2 Great Grandchildren: Caden Nicholson and Crew Fowler. Curtis and Son North Chapel will direct the services.
