Billy Howard Etress departed this life on Saturday, April 19, 2025, following a short illness. He is reunited in the afterlife with his parents, Myrtie and Claude Etress; siblings, Elsie Lorene Dunaway, Thelma Louise Ridley, Claude Etress Jr., Vernon Eugene Etress, Milburn 'Bud' Lee Etress, and Jerry Wayne Etress. Mr. Etress was also preceded in death by his son David Lewis of Childersburg and daughter Terra Harris of Harpersville.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his brothers, Randy Etress and Clyde Etress; and his children William Harris of Harpersville; Donald Isbell, Wendy Sims, and April Shaw, all of Childersburg, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His legacy continues through 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Billy spent 40 years employed at Kimberly Clark and enjoyed auto body work as a hobby. He leaves behind a large, loving family who will deeply miss his presence, including special friend Sara Williams and best bud, Will Harris.
