Catherine’s life was marked by steady devotion—to her family, to her faith, and to the quiet, meaningful work of caring for others. She was an avid quilter for her community, giving time and skill with a patient hand and a generous spirit. She also enjoyed traveling and being outdoors, finding simple joy in new places and open air. Above all, she was a Godly mother who loved her church and her church family, living with a reverence that shaped her days and strengthened those around her.
Catherine is survived by her children, Michael D. Cochran, Diane Tatum (Silas), Dale Cochran, and Vicky “Caboose” Lynn Cochran; her grandchildren, John Michael Cochran (Cayce), Ryan Cochran, and Lori Cochran (Doug); her great-grandchildren, Aidan, Gregory Dale Junior, Shelby Grace, Jacob, Aidan, Kylie, and Micah; her sister-in-law, Pat Bush; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin D. Cochran; her grandson, Greg D. Cochran; her parents, Walter and Barbara Shurette; her daughter in law, Judy Q. Cochran; and 6 siblings.
