Charles Raymond Moats, Jr.Alpine, AL - Funeral service for Charles Raymond Moats, Jr., 75, will be Friday, September 9, 2011 at 10:00 am at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Eddie Forbus officiating.  Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg, AL.Mr. Moats died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at his residence.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Raymond Moats Sr. and Daisy Verna Moats.  Mr. Moats was a member of Coosa Valley Masonic Lodge #929 and Birmingham Metro East Lodge 928, a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and Birmingham Metro York Rite Mason.He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Louise Moats of  Alpine; sons, Damon Moats and David Moats, wife Julie all of Childersburg; sister, Jane Clay of Fultondale, AL; granddaughters, Cassie Moats, Charlee Moats, Haley Williams, grandson, Jakob Moats, great-granddaughter, Alena Moats and a host of nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to the York Rite Eye Foundation care of Birmingham Metro Area York Rite, 3439 Ratliff Road, Birmingham, AL  35210.Pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
