Charlotte Imogene Harris, known as Jean, was a devoted and loving mother to her three boys. Whether it was Home Room Mom, Little League Baseball Team Mom, PeeWee Football Cheerleading Mom, Cub Scouts Den Mom, or just making sure all three of them made it everywhere they needed to be, Jean did what was needed to ensure their success. As the boys grew older, her love and care for children continued through her day care jobs including her in-home day care for several years. In her spare time, she made the best of her “green thumb” growing African Violets to Day Lillies and anything in between. Her work ethic was one to be admired and replicated. In her later years, you could find her at the Pickle Patch tending her booths. She always had a knack for turning a quarter into a dollar!! In 2016, Jean accepted her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Charlotte is survived by sons Phillip Harris (Cathy), Kenny Harris (Lena), and Russell Harris (Malia); grandchildren Brian Harris (Elise), Elizabeth Padgett (Jeremy), and James Harris (Kelsang); great grandchildren Leah Harris and Colton Padgett; great great grandchild Declan Irvin; brother Vincent Cross; and sister Brenda Jenkins.
Charlotte was preceded in death by brothers Gerald Cross and Vaughan Cross; sisters Audrey White and Irene Ferrell; and parents Hoyt David Cross and Lora Belle Kessler.
