Clois Earl Thornton

Graveside service for Clois Earl Thornton, age 83 of Sylacauga, will be Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Thornton officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Clois passed away May 18, 2021 at his residence. He is survived by his daughters, Terri Gay (Jack) of South Carolina and Melanie Allen of Sylacauga; son, David Earl Thornton (Michelle) of Georgia; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Lucinda Thornton; wife, Clara Thornton; son, Stephen Thornton; sisters, Madge Morris and Beth Mooney; brothers, Roger Thornton and Carl Thornton.
