Sylacauga, AL. - Clyde Ray Tyler, 91, was born December 12, 1931 and died Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lois Douglas Tyler; father, Thomas Joe Tyler; mother, Lula I. Martin Tyler; numerous brothers and sisters. He was the youngest in the family.
He is survived by his daughter, Connie Tyler Mitchell husband Gary of Sylacauga; son, Mark D. Tyler wife Carol of Senoia, Georgia; four grandchildren, Jessica Tyler, Tyler Mitchell, Trey Mitchell, Natalie Moseley; great grandchild, MacKenzie Moseley; sister-in-law, Melba Douglas Woods husband Frank of Summerville, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Tyler served in the Army during the Korean War and worked at Avondale Mills Textile Company for 45 years. He was a member of Mignon Baptist Church. Mr. Tyler was a avid hunter and fisherman.
The family will have a private graveside service.
The family request no flowers, in lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be sent to a charity of your choice.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, Alabama with Bro. Harold Mcherg officiating.
