Danny Lee Thornton

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Danny Lee Thornton, 66, will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Patrick McDonald officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Mr. Thornton died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at his residence and was preceded in death by his mother, Katie Lee Thornton. Mr. Thornton was known for his love for his family. He was also known as an avid hunter and for his love of being outdoors. He will be truly missed.

Mr. Thornton is survived by his wife, Deborah Williams Thornton; son, Matt (Mandi) Thornton; father, Donald Thornton; sister, Vicki (Ken) Day; and numerous cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Williams, Andrew Williams, Matthew Williams, Tracy Milam, Milton Blakely, and Scotty Lewis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Joiner, Bobby Duffy, Hugh Hickey, and Ernie Ward.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Five Points Baptist Church in Sylacauga, AL.
