I don't know what we would have done without her in our lives. First as an across the street mom looking after me, then as a second Grandmother looking after my kids. She meant so much to all of us and even helped out with my mom when we were trying to take care of her.  She always made you smile, and had a smile to share with everyone.  What a legacy she leaves for her family.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Deloris from my childhood all the way into my Young Adult life. She never let  me forget where I came from. As a young clogger even through my adult life, She is the only person that I let call me "Peanut". It didn't matter where I was at or what I was doing, if I ever heard her yell Hey Peanut, I knew who she was talking to. I remember eating at her and James Patterson's table. She was truly a special person, and I know that she will be sorely missed. You will be in my prayers in the coming days.
