Dennis Ray TidwellWedowee, AL - Memorial service for Dennis Ray Tidwell, 57, will be Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with Chaplain Glenn Winter officiating. Mr. Tidwell died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Wedowee Hospital.  He was reunited in death with his father, Jessie Tidwell, mother, Mary Tidwell, sons Andy and Randy Tidwell and his brother, Steven Patrick Tidwell.  Mr. Tidwell was employed with Bama Budweiser for 22 years.  He was a D.J. on 98.6 radio for many years.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sylacauga and ran the sound system for the church.  He was a 1975 graduate of Benjamin Russell High School where he played football.  Mr. Tidwell went by the name of Dennis Tyler.  He will be greatly missed by family and friends.  He was an avid Auburn football fan.He is survived by his sons, Benjamin Tidwell and Daniel Tidwell, girlfriend, Elysia Bailey, daughter, Jessica Schoenhardt husband David, brother, Robert Glenn Tidwell wife Donna, companion, Andrea Brown, lifelong friend, Gene Horton, grandson, Johnathon Tidwell, nephew, Robbie Tidwell. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
