Buddy was an essential part of my childhood. He treated me like I was one of his favorite people in the world.. that's how he treated most people. He was like an uncle to me, being one my dad's best friends and coworker. We went on many family vacations, and even though I was the youngest of the bunch, I was never excluded and always felt loved. His whole family was like an extension of my family. Buddy used to let me do whatever I wanted on his farm, as long as I shut the gate haha. I will miss his hugs and how he always made me feel like one of his own. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends.

Buddy was a very special man. He was always happy and picking at you just made him laugh his bubbly laugh. I was blessed to be able to get to know him and his family. Buddy made me feel like I was family. He was like a Daddy figure in my life. I will definitely miss him but can't wait til the day I see him again. My thoughts and prayers are with his precious family. I love you Buddy!!

Too many memories to share. Love this whole family so much . Buddy got so tickled at trying to scare my daddy with a fake mouse. I can see him giggling now. I remember so clear of him re doing my moma ceiling for her as a surprise for her birthday. When my David went to be with the Lord,Buddy came into church and just grabbed me and held me like his own daughter !! A good good man!! He will be greatly missed !

Buddy" was the perfect nickname for this man because he was everyone's "buddy"-friend. I would be hard pressed to think of a kinder, more compassionate man. I worked with this man from April 1, 1993 to December 2009. He was a hero to many of us, a friend to all of us and a brother to me. His family became my family and I love everyone of you!! My deepest sympathy and condolences as I am hurting right along with you. He left us too soon!!!!

Jane ,Amy,Beau,Thomas, Andrew, Raylen,Adam ,Becky, Rance and family,
I will miss my brother. I will pray for you and I love you all. Buddy Gilliland was larger than life and we had more good times than I can count. You only leave a legacy when you go but my friend left the biggest one possible. Years from now he will bring a smile to my face because that’s what he would want. Buddy was a fine man and an even finer friend.
