Dewey Houston OsbournChildersburg, AL - Funeral service for Dewey Houston Osbourn, 83, will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Frank Thompson officiating.  Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg, AL.Mr. Osbourn died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at his residence.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen Osbourn; his parents, Marvin Houston Osbourn and Delana Lucinda Osbourn; sister, Lucille Watford and his brother, Charlie Osbourn.  Mr. Osbourn enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and boating.  He worked at Kimberly-Clark for 34 years.  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  He was known as "Pa" by his grandchildren and that was one of his greatest sources of joy.He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Haynes, husband Ben; son, Ron Osbourn, wife Lori; daughter, Lisa Pody, husband Winston; son, John D. Osbourn; grandchildren, Gina Wilcox, husband Derek, Mitchell Osbourn, Amanda Sweat, husband Garrett, Abby Carter, husband Jordan, Allie Haynes, Madison Pody, Katy Osbourn, Ian Osbourn, Silas Osbourn and Alayna Osbourn; great-grandchild, Bella Wilcox; sister, Myrtis Connell; brothers, Floyd Osbourn and Hubert Osbourn. Visitation will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.Pallbearers will be Andy Osbourn, Wayne Sherbert, Jacob Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Sam Tucker and Tim Tucker.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
