Donald J. (Little Jack) SmithSylacauga, AL - Graveside service for Donald J. (Little Jack) Smith, 77, will be Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Talladega Springs Cemetery with Bro. David Rozelle and Bro. Duane Smith officiating.  Mr. Smith died Friday, June 8, 2012 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Jack Smith and Bonnie Lynn Smith and sister, Mary Frances Wood.  Lil' Jack lived in Fayetteville all of his life.  He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School.  After graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force for 4 years.  He worked for Kimberly Clark for 15 years.  He worked with his dad logging for several years.  He also worked construction remodeling Sears & Roebuck Stores.  He loved baseball, he taught many young boys in Fayetteville about baseball.  He enjoyed Saturday night dirt track racing.  He also loved hunting and was a member of Whispering Pines Hunting Club.He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Smith; brother Dale Smith, wife Martha; children, Joseph (Butch) Smith, wife Victoria, Yvette Smith, Nona Lee, husband Jody; grandchildren, Sonya Bryan, husband Brandon, Shelby Lee, Brooke Smith, Rachel Jouma, husband Hadi, Valerie Lee, Jessica Blanchard Morris and Christi Perryman;  great-grandchildren, Jordan, Spencer, Chandler, Layla, Zac, Ali, Ishmial, Sam, Brandon and Cheyenne; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Bunny Wood. Visitation will be Monday, June 11, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.The family would like to give special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Kathy Garrett and Jennifer White for all their special love and care for their daddy.Pallbearers will be Ray Wood, Andy Wood, Brent Caldwell, Tim Martin, David Perrin, Greg Wood and Tim McClellan.  Honorary pallbearers will be past and present Fayetteville Wolves ball players.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
