Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Joe Swain, 65, will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Manenon Brasher officiating. A graveside service will Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Geraldine Cemetery in Geraldine, Alabama with Bro. Brady Roe officiating.
Mr. Swain died Friday, August 26, 2022 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sim & Peggy Swain; and two brothers, Simmy Swain and Tommy Swain. He was a hard worker and provided for his family. A self motivated business owner. He retired a painter. Football was his passion and an Auburn fan through and through. Bon Fires, Cook Outs, Camping, spur of the moment road trips or anything that involved family & friends he was all in. He held his friends with as much love as he held his family. Never missed an opportunity to help celebrate a birthday, wedding, holiday or event. A man of his word, King and Generous. He lived life on his terms to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Swain; two sons, Alan (Amber) Swain of Eustis, FL., Dustin (Samm) Swain of Sylacauga; three grandchildren, A.J. Swain, Arielle Swain, Bailee Jo Swain; great-grandchild, Asher Swain; two brothers, Kerry Swain of Geraldine, AL., Scott Swain of Geraldine, AL.; two sisters, Tammy Roden of Geraldine,AL., Cindy (Joe) Campbell of Albertville, AL; adopted daughter, Katlyn Tabor; and adoptive brother and sister, Gary & Jodie Cooper.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
