Dorothy Johns

Goodwater, AL - Funeral service for Dorothy W. Johns, 70, will be Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Harbor Lighthouse with Rev. Wayne Fowler and Rev. Phillip Holloway officiating. Mrs. Johns will lie in state at the church one hour prior to her service on Wednesday.  Burial will be in Hollins Cemetery in Hollins, AL.

Mrs. Johns died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at her residence.  She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Ray (Butch) Johns.  She was a member Victory Harbor Lighthouse Church.  She was retired from Avondale Mills after some 18 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold C. Johns Jr. of Hollins; daughter, Patricia Diane Fowler, Donna Harris, and Brenda K. Shaw; son, Leslie Johns of Hollins; sisters, Patricia Rushing, Brenda Brannen, Joyce Sherback, Becky Bloodworth and Renee Williams; brother, Larry Watson; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Adam Strickling, Bryan Harris, Wayne Harris, Frank Fowler, Justin Shaw and Christopher Wilson.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
