She was born on July 11, 1935, in Coosa Co., Alabama to Albert and Georgia Abrams. She married Troy Ridley on June 5, 1954 and they began building their life together.
She was a longtime devoted member of Marble City Baptist Church in Sylacauga, where her faith was an important part of her life.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Ridley, and her brother, Terry Abrams. She is survived by her daughter, Treasure Ridley Greene (Greg) of Dallas, Texas; and her granddaughter, Lana Greene of New York, New York.
The family would like to thank very special caregivers Kioka, Cee Cee, Annette, Sandra and Katrina who made a positive difference in Dorothy's later life.
Visitation will be held at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on September 26, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, Chapel, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on September 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm with Bro. Mac McCaleb officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marble City Baptist Church, 1512 Quarry Rd, Sylacauga, Alabama 35151.
