Dorothy Mae Thornton

Dorothy is survived by her sister, Earlean Passan; her sons, Greg Thornton, Randy Thornton (Denise), and Steve Thornton. Her legacy extends to her grandchildren, Don Thornton (Nicole), Jennifer Blackerby (Jason), Dusty Thornton, Raven Maddox (Drew), Jaime Thornton, and Matthew Thornton. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Lauren Anderson (Harold), Noah Maddox, Hannah Blackerby, Dylan Maddox, Shelby Maddox, Brannon Thornton (Hannah), Caleb Thornton, Addison Holladay (Tristen), Tenleigh Thornton, and Sam Thornton, as well as five great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Aeril Thornton, and her mother, Vera Huddleston.

The visitation will be held at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, located at 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama, 35150, on November 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location in the Chapel at 3:00 pm with Bro. Mike Johnson and Bro. Mitchell Fine officiating.
