Durl Ray SmithSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Durl Ray Smith, 69, will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Bro. Larry McConatha and Rev. Freddie Edwards officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mr. Smith died Tuesday, May 27, 2015 at his residence.  He was retired from Kimberly Clark with 21 years of service as a millwright.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He loved gardening and old cars; he enjoyed showing his '32 Chevy Sedan.  He loved his family and friends and will be missed.He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Forbus Smith of Sylacauga; son, David Ray Smith, wife Cindy of Sylacauga; daughters, Angela (Angie) McConatha, husband Larry of Sylacauga and Rachel Smith Catalano, husband Chris of Crestview, FL; brother, Douglas Smith of Weogufka; sisters, Eloise Merrell of Weogufka, , Doris Curtis, husband Tim of Lincoln and Fay Helm, husband Richard of Weogufka; uncle, Ralph Smith of Sylacauga; aunt, Helen Parks of Lincoln, AL; grandchildren, Colton Keeton, Gracie Wade, Hannah Smith, Madison Smith and Easton Catalano.Visitation will be Friday, May 29, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.Pallbearers will be Colton Keeton, Jody Lightsey, Justin Robinson, Scottie Forbus, Chris Catalano, Brian Williams, Chris Williams, Tommy Vansandt and Wendell Merrill.  Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Luker, Richard Helm, Alvin Dennis, Joe Camp and John Davis.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
