Edna Ruth Varner

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Wayne Varner; her father, Alva "Pop" Lee Davis; her mother, Beulah Inez Davis; and her brother, Billy Joe Davis.

She is survived by her daughter, Patty Moates (Glen); her son, Larry Varner (Traci); her daughter, Lori Hamlet (Marty); her grandchildren, Jamie Lee (Cody), Julie Riddlehoover (Jon), Haley Moates, James Varner, Lee Varner (Cassie), Cody Varner, Wendy Higginbotham, Katie Cosby, Georgia Hamlet, Gracie Hamlet, and Jordan Hamlet (Tarah); and her great-grandchildren, Everlee Riddlehoover, Bayleigh Varner, Reagan Varner, Camden Varner, Alissa Cosby, Ethan Cosby, Tatum Hamlet, and Thompson Hamlet.

Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel, 1315 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on June 27, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Grimes Chapel on June 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm, with interment at Grimes Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Varner, Lee Varner, Cody Varner, Jon Riddlehoover, Michael Burkes, Kevin Varner, and Pat Crockett.

The family will be receiving flowers or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grimes Chapel.
