My earliest memory of mrs. Clayton was when I used the buttt of a toy gun to place a large dent in  Don's forehead on a visit to mrs.clayton's family down in the country . She gently explained that in the movies the cowboys only faked hitting and never actually did. She was calm in her explanation, though Don was bleeding profusely Despite the injury we began and have continued a life-long friendship..I don't know if she was the one responsible for the coordination of Don andI getting the same birthday and Christmas gifts for many years I suppose the last act of coordination was making certain we ate at Mrs. Coleman's Boarding house in our first years at Auburn. We even lived in the same housing complex.I say all this in thanks for a lifelong association with this fine family.and most especially with this great lady.  I wish it could be possible to say a goodbye in person.. To my regret. such is not the case. Goodbye Mrs, Clayton and thanks for your steadfastness, your calm, your care. My deep sympathy to Don and Jerry, and to the wider family.

So very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words of  Ps.86.
