Emma Jo Patterson, age 81, of Goodwater, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. Emma was born in Opelika, Alabama to Erline Goodson and W.D. Goodson.

Emma is survived by her son David Patterson; her son Tony Patterson, Jr.; and her daughter Melody Patterson Mobley; her brother Thomas Dowell Goodson, her sister Melonea Goodson Miller (Mike), her brother J. Jerrel Goodson (Donna) and her sister Patricia (Trisha) Goodson Carden; her grandchild Falon Patterson Osburne, her grandchild Tony Patterson, III, her grandchild Amanda Patterson Tomlin, her grandchild Justin Patterson, her grandchild Emily Meadows, her great granchild David Reed Osburne, her great granchild Carsen Bowman, her great granchild Cooper Osburne, her great granchild Ella Reid, her great granchild Alivia Reid, her great granchild Lincoln Reid, her great granchild Leland Patterson and her great granchild Sam Tomlin.

Emma was preceded in death by her father W.D. Goodson and her mother Erline Goodson; her brother Gordon Goodson; her brother Earl Goodson and her brother Jerry Goodson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Emma's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
