Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Essie Edna Wilson, 93, will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Keith Dennis officiating. Burial will be in on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg, AL.
Ms. Wilson died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Wilson, mother, Ethel Wilson, sister, Earlene Johnson, sister, Gladys Cleveland, sister, Jaunita Hicks, brother, Howard Wilson, and brother, Vernon Wilson. Ms. Wilson retired from Avondale Mills and was a member of Mignon Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Vera Keaton; many nieces and nephews; and best friends, Linda Mitchell and Maxine Riley.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
