Ethylene V. Phillips

She is survived by her children, Max Phillips (Margo), Tracy Phillips (Julie), and Christy Phillips; her grandchildren, Matthew Phillips, Daniel Phillips, Lauren Phillips, and John Phillips; her great grandchild, Alexus Merkel; and her sister, Nell Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fonzo and Grace Varner, and her husband of 70 years, Herman Phillips.

In her younger years, Ethylene served her church as Sunday School teacher and pianist. She remained a dedicated student of the Bible throughout her life and cherished the time spent with her family.

Visitation will be held at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on March 15, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service in the Chapel at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on March 15, 2026, beginning at 3:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Phillips, Daniel Phillips, John Phillips, Tim Delee, Hagan Delee, and Chase Merkel.

Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga.
