Eugene Bruce Abernathy, age 74, of Sycamore, Alabama passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Eugene is survived by his daughter Wendy Sanders (Dusty); his brothers Mark Abernathy and Rusty Abernathy and his sister Joyce Spurlin; and his grandchildren Cade Sanders and Chloe Sanders.

Eugene was preceded in death by his wife Esther Rudd Abernathy; his father Edward Abernathy and his mother Ruby Abernathy; and his brothers Larry Abernathy and Bo Abernathy.

A memorial service for Eugene will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home. All services will be officiated by Randy Brazier.
